SOLD TT WH1876D C20 Lido Automatic (03/2012)
Quick facts
Reference: C20 Lido
Category: Integrated sports watch
Size: Medium
Movement: Automatic
Condition: Fair
Ward Hoard warranty: Six months from date of purchase
Buy it if you want: an early pretender for the integrated sports crown
Description
The Lido was Christopher Ward’s first serious attempt at an integrated bracelet sports watch, introduced in the late 2000s when the category was still largely inactive. With its integrated case and bracelet, slim profile and versatile proportions, it clearly referenced the sport luxury watches of the 1970s, but it arrived well before the market returned to that style in any meaningful way.
Although sound in both concept and execution, the Lido struggled to find a clear audience. It sat between dress and sport at a time when tool watches dominated interest, and it never developed into a long term platform. In hindsight, the Lido reads as a well judged idea released at the wrong time. It was retired in 2012, and now stands as an early indicator of a direction CW would return to far more successfully years later.
Condition and performance
The watch is in very good condition with some signs of regular wear.
Case: Marks and scuffs visible
Bezel: Light marks visible
Crystal: Clear, no marks
Supplied on a CW bracelet with pin micro-adjust and quick release lugs showing marks consistent with wear. Will fit a wrist up to c. 7 inches - I’m pretty sure that the Trident links of that era will fit, so please ask if your wrist is larger and you are interested.
Comes boxed (inner material deteriorating) with covering letter and owner’s manual/certificate of authenticity.
Timegrapher: Approximately -1 seconds per day.

No other options as it is an integrated strap watch. Please send us a message with any queries.
