Description
The C11 range arrived in 2011, at a point when Christopher Ward was still experimenting with what its technical sports watches should be. The Trident already existed, having been introduced a couple of years earlier, but it had not yet become the brand’s defining line. That left space for the C11 to explore more specialised territory, leaning harder into aviation and professional dive‑watch concepts. The C11 models were more complex, more technical and more assertive than the Tridents of the time, and they played an important role in shaping CW’s reputation for specification‑led watches during its first decade.
This ultra-rare FDU version is based on the C11 Makaira Pro 500, retaining its original proportions, layout and 500m depth rating. The case is produced in DLC‑coated steel, with the standard twin‑crown configuration: internal bezel control at the upper right and the primary crown at the lower right.
The dial is executed on a black base with high‑visibility orange hands and markers for contrast. The Fleet Diving Unit emblem is positioned at 12 o’clock in place of the standard branding, with the Christopher Ward relegated to 6 o’clcok. The edition is limited to 50 pieces
