WH2241DD C60 Trident Bronze Ombre COSC Limited Edition (07/2022)

£875.00

Quick facts

Description

The C60 has always been Christopher Ward's modern dive watch, but the Bronze Ombré COSC Limited Edition takes the platform in a different direction. Released in March 2021 and limited to 500 pieces, it combines the proven Mk3 Trident with a bronze Light-catcher™ case and one of the most distinctive dials Christopher Ward has produced.

Bronze watches have become increasingly common, but this one still stands apart. The case is constructed from a bronze alloy containing copper and tin, allowing it to develop a unique patina over time. Unlike steel, no two examples will age in quite the same way, giving each watch its own character as the years pass.

The real highlight, however, is the dial. Crafted in aged bronze and individually distressed by hand, no two are exactly alike. The ombré effect darkens towards the edge of the dial and gives the watch a depth that is difficult to capture in photographs. It works particularly well alongside the bronze case, creating a watch that feels cohesive rather than simply colourful or attention-seeking.

Power comes from a COSC-certified Sellita SW200, delivering chronometer-grade accuracy, whilst the rest of the specification remains pure Trident: 600m water resistance, ceramic bezel and the excellent Light-catcher™ case that helped define the Mk3 generation.

Condition and performance

The watch is in very good condition with only minor signs of careful use.

  • Case: Clean with no noteworthy issues. Developed a patina as you’d expect, which could be cleaned off with lemon juice/vinegar

  • Bezel: No marks observed

  • Crystal: Clear, no marks observed

Supplied on an unworn CW black hybrid strap with bronze buckle.

Comes boxed with owner’s manual, cleaning cloth case (no cleaning cloth) and warranty booklet/card.

Timegrapher: Approximately -11 or 12 seconds per day. Little higher than I would like given it is a COSC - it may well settle down in use, but it is under warranty with CW until July 2027, so plenty of time to get it adjusted if it doesn’t.

Strap options

  • Head only: £50 reduction

  • Replacement of existing strap for a standard unworn CW strap: £10 increase.

  • Additional standard unworn CW strap (with bronze buckle): £60 increase

Subject to availability, standard unworn CW straps comprise vintage oak leather, hybrid, rubber and tropic.

Please send us a message and we will adjust the price accordingly.

We also offer 10% off our straps and bracelets listed in Accessories purchased alongside a watch. I do have some distressed brown leather straps listed that would work brilliantly with this watch.

Simply add the accessory to your basket and use STRAP10 or BRAC10 at checkout.
