For a long time CW was missing a proper everyday automatic. There were great divers and interesting one‑offs, but nothing that really nailed the brief of a watch you could put on every morning and not think about. When the Sealander arrived in April 2021, they pretty much hit it out of the park.
The 39mm size is spot on for most wrists and the watch wears slimmer than you’d expect. It feels well made without feeling precious and the design is clean without being dull. It works on a bracelet or a strap and doesn’t look out of place in any setting. Now available in a variety of sizes and colours, if someone asked me to recommend a first automatic watch for daily wear this would be the one, hands down.
Based on the C63 Sealander (39 mm), this is the third bespoke limited edition created by the Christopher Ward Enthusiasts Facebook Group. The defining feature is the red sunburst dial, which gives the watch a much stronger visual presence than the standard models while retaining the clean Sealander layout. The dial carries CWE text, marking it clearly as an enthusiast‑led edition and the watch is fitted with an exhibition display.

Condition and performance
The watch is in very good condition with light signs of wear.
Case: Clean - no issues
Bezel: Light marks only
Crystal: Clear, no marks
Supplied on a lightly used CW bader bracelet with the CWE 3.0 engraved on the clasp.
Comes boxed with cleaning cloth, owner’s manual and warranty booklet / card.
Timegrapher: Approximately +2 seconds per day.
Strap options
Head only: £100 reduction
Replacement of existing strap for a standard unworn CW strap: £50 reduction
Additional standard unworn CW strap: £50 increase
Subject to availability, standard unworn CW straps comprise vintage oak leather, hybrid, rubber and tropic.
