Description
The C60 Trident Mk2 refined rather than reinvented what came before it. Building on the Mk1, it replaced aluminium bezels with ceramic, moved dial markers from pips to batons, upsized the crown and doubled water resistance from 300 metres to 600 metres, establishing the Trident Pro 600 identity. The automatic range expanded in both size and colour and the line matured into something broader and more confident. Later Mk2 revisions brought the move to the 9 o’clock wordmark logo, and taken as a whole the Mk2 era is where the Trident became the modern Christopher Ward diver most people recognise.
The Type 1 Titanium Pro 600 Mk2 takes that platform and elevates the concept. The use of titanium changes everything. It’s extremely light on the wrist, far lighter than you expect given the size, and it gives the watch a very different feel compared to the standard steel versions. The dark grey and black colour palette gives the watch a brooding, purposeful character that works particularly well with the titanium case. It has a stealthy, almost industrial feel and stands apart from the brighter and more conventional Trident variants. These were never produced in large numbers and rarely come up, which only adds to the appeal.
