Description
The C60 Trident Mk2 refined rather than reinvented what came before it. Building on the Mk1, it replaced aluminium bezels with ceramic, shifted dial markers from pips to batons, upsized the crown and doubled water resistance from 300 m to 600 m, establishing the Trident Pro 600 identity. The automatic range expanded significantly in both size and colour, and the line matured into something broader and more confident. Later Mk2 evolutions brought the move to the 9‑o’clock wordmark logo, and taken as a whole, the Mk2 era is where the Trident became the modern CW diver most people recognise.
This example is the 43mm Mk2 C60 Trident Pro 600 with the white dial and black ceramic bezel, one of the cleanest and most striking combinations offered during the Mk2 era. The crisp white dial creates a sharp contrast with the black bezel and handset while retaining the robust tool-watch DNA that defines the Trident line. It follows the settled Mk2 specification: ceramic bezel insert, baton hour markers, enlarged crown and the logo at twelve o'clock, placing it in the early phase of Mk2 production before the transition to the updated logo. The result is a watch that combines the utility of a professional diver with a bright, versatile appearance that remains a favourite among Christopher Ward enthusiasts.
