Description
The C60 Lympstone is named after the Royal Marines’ Commando Training Centre at Lympstone in Devon. With Christopher Ward’s close relationship with the UK military and its long history of creating bespoke military-only limited editions, the Lympstone is one of a small number of military-inspired models made available to the public.
The range of publicly available military models began in 2019 with the Dartmouth, Cranwell and Sandhurst, representing the Royal Navy, Royal Air Force and British Army respectively. In August 2020, Christopher Ward added a fourth model to the collection with the introduction of the C60 Lympstone, inspired by the Royal Marines. The Colchester, developed in conjunction with the Parachute Regiment, would follow in 2021.
The Lympstone is an unashamedly rugged interpretation of Christopher Ward’s bestselling C60 Trident Pro 600. It features a forged carbon dial (which looks amazing), distinctive external bezel cut-outs, an internal rotating bezel with compass markings and generous amounts of X1 GL C1 Super-LumiNova® throughout. Power comes from the COSC-certified Sellita SW200 automatic movement, combining proven performance with military-inspired design cues.
