Description
For a long time CW was missing a proper everyday automatic. There were strong divers and interesting one‑offs, but nothing that really nailed the idea of a watch you could put on every morning and not think about. When the Sealander arrived in April 2021, they got the fundamentals right straight away. The design was clean without being dull, the proportions were well judged and the watch felt solid without feeling precious. It worked on a bracelet or a strap and never felt out of place.
The 36 mm version of the Sealander arrived in 2022, expanding the line beyond its original 39 mm format. It kept the same core design but adjusted the proportions to better suit smaller wrists and those looking for something more compact. Nothing fundamental changed, but the reduced size gave the watch a slightly different feel on the wrist while keeping the same straightforward everyday focus.
The plain black version focusses on clarity and restraint. The dial is matte black, giving strong contrast against the applied markers and hands and making it easy to read at a glance.

Condition and performance
The watch is in very good condition with some light marks on the bezel.
Supplied on a CW bader bracelet in very good condition showing light marks consistent with use. Complete with all links.
Comes boxed with warranty booklet and card and cleaning cloth. No owner’s manual, but this can be found online.
Timegrapher: Approximately +6 seconds per day.
Strap options
Head only: £100 reduction
Replacement of existing strap for a standard unworn CW strap: £60 reduction
Additional standard unworn CW strap: £50 increase
Subject to availability, standard unworn CW straps comprise vintage oak leather, hybrid, rubber and tropic.
