WH1931H C700 Grande Rapide Automatic Chronograph (06/2014)

£645.00

Quick facts

Description

With the exception of a handful of military specials, the Christopher Ward C7 (and C70) range has always been home to the brand’s sport and motorsport‑inspired watches. The C7 Rapide first appeared in 2008 as a quartz chronograph and evolved through a Mk2 update in 2012.

Introduced in August 2011, the C700 Grande Rapide automatic chronograph was the flagship model and marked a move into more developed case design and materials. It was the first CW watch to use a carbon fibre dial and was originally intended to house the Sellita SW500, but launched instead with the ETA Valjoux 7750. The watch is defined by that combination. The 7750 gives it a proven, no‑nonsense chronograph base, while the carbon dial adds texture without relying on colour.
