Description
The Trident Mk3 Pro 600 sits at the point where Christopher Ward’s dive‑watch design had fully settled. Following the broader Mk3 refresh launched in 2019, the Pro 600 carried forward the Light‑Catcher case, simplified dial language and calmer handset that marked the Trident’s coming of age. Rather than leaning into overt tool‑watch signalling, the emphasis was on cohesion and wearability. Despite its 600‑metre rating, the Pro 600 no longer felt defined by depth alone. It became the reference point for the modern Trident: balanced, confident and refined enough that later changes would be evolutionary rather than corrective.
What distinguished the Mk3 Pro 600 was a series of measured design decisions. The new Light‑Catcher case introduced cleaner transitions between surfaces and reduced perceived bulk on the wrist. Dial and handset were simplified, with the heavier Mk2 hands replaced by a more restrained design and the long‑standing lume pip at twelve removed entirely. Bracelets were reworked to suit the new case profile, gaining improved articulation and quick‑release spring bars. Case sizes were rationalised to 38mm, 40mm and 42mm, finally drawing a line under the earlier 43mm format.
