Description
The C60 Anthropocene GMT was released in August 2021 as a 42mm dive watch with 600 metres of water resistance and an added GMT complication. It was developed in collaboration with CW Challenger and adventurer Tom Hicks and marked a more concept‑led approach within the Trident range, combining technical capability with a clear thematic focus. The defining feature is the frosted sapphire dial, treated to evoke the appearance of polar ice and giving the watch a distinctive, cold visual character.
This was the first time Christopher Ward combined its sapphire dial technology with a GMT complication. Power comes from an updated Sellita GMT movement offering a 56‑hour power reserve. Five percent of each sale was donated to the David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation, supporting conservation work aligned with the watch’s environmental theme. The result is a fully capable professional dive watch with an additional time zone function and a design that reflects its underlying message.
