Description
The C65 range only really came into focus in 2018. Earlier uses of the name were essentially variations on the C60 and never quite stood on their own. That changed with the release of the C65 Trident Diver, which marked CW’s first deliberate move into the retro dive space and the point at which the C65 became a platform rather than a side note. This was also the first diver to use the Light‑catcher case, bringing a more sculpted and fluid profile to a category that had previously been more utilitarian in CW’s lineup. From there the C65 quickly expanded into a broader family, covering vintage divers, military styles and more experimental offshoots, and in the process began to rival the C60 as the brand’s defining dive watch.
This limited‑edition version takes its inspiration from the JPS‑liveried Lotus Formula One cars of the 1970s. The case coating is a warm, tinted rose‑gold tone that can appear copper‑like depending on the light. The finish is applied using a PVD process rather than traditional plating, improving durability and wear resistance.
The watch is powered by a hand‑wound, dateless Sellita SW210 mechanical movement.
