WH1780Q C65 Trident GMT Pepsi (01/2020)

£825.00

Quick facts

Description

The C65 range only really came into focus in 2018. Earlier uses of the name were essentially variations on the C60 and never quite stood on their own. That changed with the release of the C65 Trident Diver, which marked CW’s first deliberate move into the retro dive space and the point at which the C65 became a platform rather than a side note. This was also the first diver to use the Light‑catcher case, bringing a more sculpted and fluid profile to a category that had previously been more utilitarian in CW’s lineup. From there the C65 quickly expanded into a broader family, covering vintage divers, military styles and more experimental offshoots, and in the process began to rival the C60 as the brand’s defining dive watch.

The C65 Trident GMT Pepsi takes that base and adds a second time zone with minimal fuss. The red and blue bezel gives it instant GMT recognition, but the colours don’t overwhelm the watch. The GMT hand is easy to read without dominating the dial, and the watch still reads primarily as a diver. The 41 mm Light‑catcher case keeps it slim and comfortable on the wrist, and the added complication doesn’t make it feel cluttered or top‑heavy. This is a casual GMT rather than a travel instrument—useful for tracking another time zone, but mainly just a clean, wearable retro diver with a bit more functionality.
