Description
For a long time CW was missing a proper everyday automatic. There were great divers and interesting one‑offs, but nothing that really nailed the brief of a watch you could put on every morning and not think about. When the Sealander arrived in April 2021 they pretty much hit it out of the park. The 39mm size worked for most wrists and the case wore slimmer than the numbers suggested. The design was straightforward, it worked on a bracelet or a strap and it didn’t look out of place in any setting.
The C63 Sealander Extreme GMT takes that everyday platform and pushes it in a more overtly technical direction. It uses a larger 41mm case, a fixed ceramic 24‑hour bezel, enhanced shock protection and extensive Globolight lume across the dial, hands and logo. Power comes from the Sellita SW330‑2, giving a caller‑style GMT hand rather than a true traveller configuration, with a centrally mounted second time zone and a date at six. The overall layout remains recognisably Sealander, but the execution is tougher and more feature‑driven, resulting in a watch that still works day to day while clearly sitting at the more rugged end of the range.
