Description
The C60 Trident Pro 300 Atoll traces its roots back to the Mk3 C60 Trident, launched in May 2019, a significant update that refined what was already Christopher Ward’s strongest seller. The Atoll made its debut in June 2022 with the Atoll Special Edition, a limited run of 350 pieces that sold out within hours. Marketed at launch as a “summer watch”, it stood apart through its stunning dial.
The distinguishing feature of the Atoll Special Edition was its graduated azure‑blue lacquer dial, inspired by the atolls of the Indian Ocean. Lightest at the centre and deepening towards the edge, the dial was created by spraying layers of colour onto a rotating turntable, with the final intensity controlled by spin speed. The result is a genuine fumé effect where no two dials are quite the same. Housed in a 40mm Light‑catcher™ case and rated to 600 metres, it retained the serious credentials of the Trident line while leaning heavily into aesthetics.
Following the success of the limited model, Christopher Ward expanded the concept with the Atoll 300 in June 2023, this time as a non‑limited edition based on the C60 Trident Pro 300. The formula remained largely intact, carrying over the tropical fumé theme and pairing it with colour‑matched date wheels. Two dial options were offered, Shark White and Reef Blue, along with a sandblasted bezel featuring raised, polished numerals.
