WH1694G C60 Trident Mk3 Pro 600 Bronze Ombre Green COSC LE (02/2022)

Quick facts

Description

The Trident Mk3 Pro 600 sits at the point where Christopher Ward’s dive‑watch design had fully settled. Following the broader Mk3 refresh launched in 2019, the Pro 600 carried forward the Light‑Catcher case, simplified dial language and calmer handset that marked the Trident’s coming of age. Rather than leaning into overt tool‑watch signalling, the emphasis was on cohesion and wearability. Despite its 600‑metre rating, the Pro 600 no longer felt defined by depth alone. It became the reference point for the modern Trident: balanced, confident and refined enough that later changes would be evolutionary rather than corrective.

Introduced in January 2022, the C60 Bronze Ombré Green COSC Limited Edition is one of my favourite Mk3 Tridents. Ombré simply means shaded, and here the green dial fades from lighter to darker tones, but what really matters is how it’s done. The distressed finish is applied by hand, which means no two dials are the same. Some are darker, some lighter, some a little more uneven around the edges, and that variation is the point. It gives the watch real character rather than a factory‑perfect look. The effect is especially good in sunlight, where the dial shifts and catches the light in a way that’s hard to ignore. I often find myself looking at it not to check the time, but just because it looks great. The bronze case only adds to that sense of individuality as it ages, while COSC certification is a reminder that, underneath it all, this is still a very capable dive watch.
