WH1726 C10 Aviator Mk 1 (07/2014)

Reference: C10 Aviator
Category: Aviation
Size: Medium
Movement: Automatic
Condition: Verygood
Ward Hoard warranty: Six months from date of purchase
Buy it if you want: a classic Aviator in a goldilocks size.
Description
The C10 Aviator sits within Christopher Ward’s early aviation‑inspired lineup and was introduced in July 2012. It was designed to fill a very deliberate gap in the catalogue, bridging the size difference between the C5 Aviator (38mm) and the C8 Pilot (44mm). At 42mm, it landed squarely in the middle and quickly became the “goldilocks” option for those who wanted a pilot watch with presence but without excess.
The Mk I wears extremely well thanks to a slim 10mm case height, which keeps it flat on the wrist and easy to live with. The design is straightforward and legible, leaning into classic pilot cues without becoming oversized or theatrical. The proportions are the defining feature here and remain one of the strongest sizing decisions Christopher Ward made during this period.
The C10 Aviator Mk I is also a genuinely collectable piece. It was produced in relatively small numbers, has been out of the catalogue for a long time and surfaces only infrequently. For collectors interested in Christopher Ward’s earlier chapters, and in particular (in my view) their best‑judged pilot watch, the C10 Mk I remains a significant and desirable model.
