Christopher Ward has a long history of pushing against the edges of what is expected at its price point, whether through unconventional design choices or technical ambition. The C60 Sapphire sits squarely in that tradition, not as a complication or a reinvention, but as a willingness to do something more difficult than strictly necessary and see if it worked.
Launched in April 2020, the C60 Sapphire was based on the then‑new 40mm Mk3 C60 Trident Pro and used a fully transparent sapphire dial and case back to expose the Sellita automatic movement beneath. Producing that dial required a complex manufacturing process, resulting in a material that is extremely thin, scratch‑resistant and visually distinctive. The effect was immediate. It proved popular enough to lead to further versions, including this orange Sapphire and established the idea that the C60 platform could support genuinely experimental ideas without losing its identity as a serious dive watch.

Condition and performance
The watch is in very good condition with visible but light signs of wear.
Case: Clean with light hairlines only
Bezel: These models tend to pick up scratches in use, but this one is very good - you’ve got to try and find them to see them.
Crystal: Clear, no marks
Supplied on a CW hybrid strap in very good condition.
Comes boxed with owner’s manual, cleaning cloth and warranty booklet/card.
Timegrapher: Approximately +12 seconds per day.

Subject to availability, standard unworn CW straps comprise vintage oak leather, hybrid, rubber and tropic.
