Description
Launched in August 2017, the C7 Rapide Mk3 Quartz formed part of a full rethink of Christopher Ward’s motorsport range. Although CW never formally used a Mk3 designation, the change was obvious. The quartz chronograph adopted a cleaner, more cohesive case design alongside a bicompax dial layout and introduced the Twin Flag logo at 12 o’clock, with the Christopher Ward wordmark removed from the dial entirely. This marked a clear shift in visual identity for the brand’s motorsport watches.
This COSC‑certified quartz version sits apart from the simpler Mk3 quartz models by using the full four‑part Rapide case construction. That case adds depth and visual complexity, with layered surfaces and sharper transitions giving the watch far more presence on the wrist than earlier C7 quartz chronographs. The dial adopts a tri‑compax layout, reinforcing its motorsport intent while remaining clearly structured and legible. As a Limited Edition of 500 pieces, the C7 Rapide COSC Quartz Chronograph occupied the top tier of the quartz side of the C7 range. Chronometer certification brings added accuracy, while the combination of the complex case and tri‑compax dial gives it a more engineered feel than the standard quartz variants. Now discontinued, it stands as one of the more complete and less commonly seen expressions of the redesigned C7 motorsport line.
