WH1454A - W8 Matisse Chronograph (07/2011)
CHRISTOPHER WARD W8 MATISSE CHRONOGRAPH
Introduction
Christopher Ward entered the ladies’ watch market in 2007 and created 21 different models over the years, before announcing in 2014 they intended to exit the women’s field. By 2015 all remaining stock was sold off so they could concentrate on the much better selling models intended for men. That’s not to say that women can’t wear Christopher Ward watches now though - particularly with the introduction of smaller models recently. Because the ladies watches never really sold in great numbers when they were new, they’re now even harder to come by - I’d say maybe one or two a month come up in the various outlets that I monitor. I’ve just picked up a set of four of this model from the same collector that has owned them from new.
Introduced in August 2009, the W8 Matisse is a 36 mm chronograph whose dial is styled to reflect the work of the French Colourist Henri Matisse.
Warranty
It comes with a six month Ward Hoard warranty.
Strap options
Please ask if you would like anything other than its current strap and I’ll see what I’ve got in my strap box.
Condition
Having a highly polished case and bezel makes many CW women’s watches magnets for blemishes, so it’s common to see ladies watches in seemingly battered condition. This particular watch is in amazing condition - looks barely worn.
It comes on a fabulous Stingray strap - looks brilliant. This is also in great condition.
No box but owner’s manual with certificate of authenticity. It will be well packed for delivery.
Specifications
Case size: 36.0 mm
Lug width: 18mm
Height: 11mm
