Introduction
Whilst it’s mostly about CW, it’s not all about CW. There are some fantastic other brands out there that I’ve had as part of my own collection that operate in a similar space to CW. I’m not talking your Rolex, Omega or Tudor—more your Halios, Pinion, Monta, anOrdain or Zero West.
Omologato is one such smaller brand. Based in the UK and deeply rooted in motorsport culture, they design watches that celebrate iconic racing venues and eras. The Indianapolis Automatic is a great example—drawing inspiration from 1970s IndyCar design, it features a 40mm polished “turtle” case, gloss dial with papaya orange and royal blue accents, and a solid steel crown at 4 o’clock. It’s powered by a Miyota 8215 automatic movement and finished with Super-Luminova details and a sapphire crystal.
It sold out fast, which tells you something—not just about demand, but about how well it resonated with motorsport enthusiasts.
Condition
The watch itself is in lovely condition. It’s not been worn much, if at all. Comes boxed with covering note. It comes on a lightly used black leather strap with orange stitching. Keeping time at +20spd, within spec.
