Christopher Ward C65 Super Compressor Black Sand

Introduction

Introduced in August 2020, the C65 Super Compressor is the first genuine super compressor diving watch in 50 years. Using a technology developed in the early days of dive watches the mechanism, featuring a compression spring, is designed to increase water-resistance as the diver descends. The exhibition caseback – not used before on a super compressor – shows the all-important compression spring and diving-bell logo. The internal dive bezel is adjusted by means of a second crown.

Lovely retro style diver with sun-burst style face, internal rotating bezel and huge exhibition case back showcasing the movement and compression ring.

Many of these examples have a ‘mistake dial’ where the ”SUPER COMPRESSOR” wording at the bottom of the dial is slightly off centre to the left. Rather than correct them, CW just sold them off and discontinued this colour soon after. There were, however, a few that did that the correctly aligned text on the dial - and this is one of them. I’ve not seen many at all like this.

Warranty

It comes with a transferable CW warranty to January 2026.

Strap

Currently fitted with a lightly used bracelet with all links in good, used condition.

If you’d rather switch it to a new CW leather, hybrid or tropic - discount of £80.

It you would prefer it head only, discount of £120..

Condition

Nice condition with the usual light signs of use. Timing on the timegrapher is +13 seconds per day.

Comes complete with box, cleaning cloth, owner’s manual and warranty booklet and card.
