Christopher Ward C65 Cranwell v1

Introduction

The ‘public’ military models started with a batch of C65s in 2019. They were the Dartmouth (named after the Royal Naval School), the Cranwell (named after the RAF College) and the Sandhurst (named after the The Royal Military Academy where army officers are trained).

In August 2020 CW added a fourth military model, the Lympstone. And in 2021 the Colchester joined the party (developed for and in conjunction with the British Army's Parachute Regiment).

Introduced in August 2019, the C65 Cranwell v1 uses CW's 'light-catcher' case in 41mm.

In September 2022 a Series 2 version of this classic RAF watch was introduced – with a new, smaller 38mm Light-catcher™ case, redesigned, aviator-focused dial and a higher level of finishing. It is named after the RAF’s training college, and officially approved by the Ministry of Defence
The dial, which now hosts the twin-flags logo, was completely redesigned for clarity and authenticity. Its Arabic numerals are printed in Super-LumiNova® lume with Super-LumiNova® Old Radium-coated quarter-hour batons and inverted triangle to aid legibility..
