Christopher Ward C60 Trident 600 GMT Mk2 38mm
Introduction
Christopher Ward launched the Mk2 C60 Trident Pro 600 in early 2015. By far its biggest improvement over the Mk1 was the ultra scratch-resistant ceramic bezel and another new arrival with the Mk2 was the availability of a 38mm GMT model - the Mk1 GMT was only ever available in the 43mm case size.
The watch for sale here is a 38mm black bezel, black face Mk2 GMT model. C60 GMT watches feature an additional hour hand which takes 24 hours to complete one rotation of the dial (so 12 midnight is at the usual 12 o’clock and 12 noon is at the usual 6 o’clock), making it a perfect international travel partner. This is because you can set the regular hands to your local time and the GMT hand to ‘home’, so you can instantly see the time at home and avoid accidentally calling your partner at 3 in the morning to say “hi” and tell them about your day! By rotating the bezel, and therefore moving midnight to elsewhere on the dial, you can create a third time zone.
Warranty
It comes with a Ward Hoard six month warranty.
Strap options
It comes on a brand new CW black and orange hybrid (the orange complements the orange GMT hand perfectly.
If you’d like it on a different colour hybrid or leather, no cost change.
If you’d like it on a bracelet (an extra £140, subject to availability)
Head only - discount of £40.
Condition
Lovely condition - nothing of any note.
It’s supplied boxed with owner’s book with Certificate of Authenticity.
On the timegrapher it’s keeping pretty good time at -11 spd.
In summary, it’s a fantastic condition example of a lovely, rarely available GMT diver in great working order.
