Introduction
Described as a classic ‘GMT-explorer’ watch the C63 Sealander GMT made its debut in April 2021. Crafted from anti-corrosive 316L stainless steel, the C63 Sealander GMT boasts a fixed 24-hour bezel, an oversized GMT hand in bright orange and a high-legibility dial. Powered by the new Sellita SW330-2 GMT movement, the wearer is able to track a second time zone, day or night, anywhere in the world.
There’s undeniable resemblance to a 42mm Rolex Explorer II (albeit with batons instead of pips), but at 39mm, the Christopher Ward version probably has a bit more flexibility… and at £7,000+ cheaper, it represents a small advantage on the value front, too!
Built and released for the July 2024 sale as a "Special Edition" of 50 pieces featuring a silver dial and Sellita SW330-2 COSC movement. It uses the same C63 Sealander GMT case crafted from anti-corrosive 316L stainless steel, a fixed 24-hour bezel, an oversized GMT hand so the wearer is able to track a second time zone, day or night, anywhere in the world.
There were only 50 made and you don’t see many of these on the second hand market at all - this is the first one that has passed through my hands. This is number 12 and this one was actually sold in January 2025, a later release. The dial is simply gorgeous and catches the sun beautifully.
The watch uses the chronometer version of the Sellita SW 330-2 automatic GMT movement.
Warranty
This is a January 2025 watch, so the transferable movement warranty is valid to January 2030.

It comes on an excellent CW consort (with micro adjust) in great condition.

On the timegrapher it’s keeping almost perfect time.
