Christopher Ward C63 Sealander Limited Edition Jura Green 36mm Automatic

Introduction

CW introduced the Sealander range in April 2021 to great acclaim. It was really missing a sports watch, and this fitted the bill perfectly. It was voted Christopher Ward Forum Watch of the Year 2021.

It features a polished lacquer dial – and was initially available in just black or white – and top-brushed, diamond-polished indices filled with Super-LumiNova® Grade X1 BL C1. The hand-set, modelled on those from the C60 Trident Pro 600, is also coated with lume, and the date window is at 6 o'clock.

Later iterations included a 39mm blue version as well as smaller 36mm versions and colours.

Released in February 2023, the C63 Sealander 36 mm Limited Edition - Oxygen is part of a three-watch collection follow up (150 pieces per edition) to the original four colours released in July 2022. The ‘degrading’ dial becomes darker toward the edge: an effect achieved by spraying a darker shade onto the dial while it spins on a specially constructed turntable. The 36 mm case caters for the growing demand for smaller watches. The watches are based on the C63 Sealander Automatic and each of the coloured versions is offered with a free self-coloured strap.

Warranty

The CW transferable movement warranty is valid to March 2028.

Strap options

It comes on a very lightly used extra small CW vintage oak leather strap in tan together with the self-coloured strap. Other options are:

• Exchange either for a standard CW black hybrid or CW tan vintage oak leather (increase of £20)

• Exchange for lightly used Bader bracelet (increase of £125)

• Head only (discount of £40).
