CHRISTOPHER WARD C60 ABYSS SH21 COSC
Introduction
Released in October 2020, the C60 Abyss SH21 incorporates a sapphire dial in an ambitious stealth watch powered by CW's five-day COSC -certified chronometer movement.
The ‘smoked’ sapphire dial is machined to 0.6mm, which lets the wearer see deep into the movement. At 9 o’clock, the power-reserve subdial monitors remaining charge, while the date wheel at 3 o’clock features laser-cut numerals.
At 16.35mm high it’s a relatively tall watch, but the dark colours and the ‘light catcher’ case design do their best to disguise it.
You can see the date wheel and various workings through the semi-transparent face and you get a fantastic view of the rotor, double mainspring barrels and other workings through the huge exhibition case back.
Is it easy to tell the time? No, not especially - it’s a stealth watch after all!
Is it sexy as hell? Damn right it is!!
Dial Error
When CW first launched these watches (in 2020) they had 600m printed on the face and in the owner's book, which was a mistake as they're actually rated to 300m. When this error came to light CW changed the faces/books on all their existing stock and contacted all owners to offer them a replacement face with 300m. This watch is an July 2022 archive watch, and shows the correct depth on the dial.
Warranty
It’s a July 2022 watch, so the transferable manufacturer movement warranty is valid until July 2027.
Condition
It’s a used watch that’s in great condition. No issues at all.
On the timegrapher it’s registering timing within COSC at +2spd.
Offered in the original CW bamboo case including user book, warranty booklet and card, polishing cloth and COSC certificate.
