CHRISTOPHER WARD C65 DESK DIVER SPECIAL EDITION

Introduction

Christopher Ward first used the C65 name in 2014 when they introduced a 43mm dress style variation of the Mk2 C60 dive watch called the C65 Trident Classic. Next came a C65 Trident Classic Vintage, which used a variation of the 38mm Mk2 C60 case in 2016.

CW first dipped their toe into the ‘retro dive’ water in mid 2018 with the hand-wound C65 Trident Diver, which was available with either blue, green or black face. Unlike the previous two C65s, which were variations of C60s, the C65 Trident Diver was an all-new design and it proved to be an instant hit, paving the way for all manor of new models and special editions and arguably challenging the C60 for the most popular model crown.

Introduced in September 2024, the C65 Desk Diver is a limited edition of 500 pieces designed in collaboration with French watch design artist Romaric André (seconde/seconde/). Structurally and mechanically based on the C65 Aquitaine, the dial and bezel are adorned with whimsical clichés of modern office life: power naps, meetings, office politics, doomscrolling and dopamine toxicity to name a few.

Despite being a 41 mm, 200 metre water resistant dive watch, its tongue-in-cheek designation is for those whose “highest pressure environment” is a board meeting.

It’s great fun and sold out almost instantly.

Warranty

Transferable manufacturer's warranty to November 2029.

Straps

It comes on a Two Stitch strap that was custom made for this particular watch - looks fabulous with the matching/complementary colours.

It also comes with its original yellow De Lugs strap that these models also came with. You cut these straps to size, but these ones are unworn and uncut.

Also comes with BX061 - used Aquitaine bracelet that fits this model.

Condition:

Fabulous condition - can't see a mark on it.

On the timegrapher it’s keeping pretty good time at +10sec per day.

It comes as a ‘full set’ complete with the latest bamboo box, owner’s book, warranty card and polishing cloth. It also comes with the unused ‘office’ equipment, post-it notes, pencils, highlighters etc.
