Christopher Ward C80 Sector
Introduction
Christopher Ward has a long history of making aviation-inspired watches, starting with 2006’s C5 Malvern Aviator, which was based on CW’s first ever watch, the C5 Malvern. Their next aviator was… the C8, in its first iteration which was the Pilot Mk1 of 2008. While the C9, C10 and C11 have all offered aviation models, it’s the C8 case which has proved to be CW’s goto aviator case, having been used in over ten different models over the years including the C8 Power Reserve and Al Deere special, which both sit near the top of the CW pricing scale.
This is the C80 Sector, an extremely rare model that was introduced in August 2009. The C80 Sector is dedicated to the famous Sector clocks used to plot and time enemy movements during WWII. The watch originally came in US and Great Britain versions. After IPK versions were dropped the GB1SWT was designated GB1 (tan strap) and GB2 was added (black strap).
The owner’s manual is a fascinating read and a great description from one of the highly respected CW forumites here:

It’s a large watch at 44mm, but its height of less than 10mm means that it hugs the wrist nicely.
Condition
It is in good condition with some light scatches on the bezel..
Keeping fabulous time and +3 or 4 seconds per day.
Supplied in the latest CW case - no papers.
Strap
Fitted with the original brown CW aviation leather strap, which has quick-release spring bars that is well used, but got plenty of life left in it. I think these straps are a fantastic match for these aviators and they develop a lovely patina.

It comes with a six month Ward Hoard warranty (extendable for an additional cost).
