WH769 C5 Malvern Aviator (12/2009)
CHRISTOPHER WARD C5 MALVERN AVIATOR AUTOMATIC
Introduction
Based on Christopher Ward’s first ever watch, the Mk1 Malvern Automatic, the C5 Aviator Limited Edition was originally launched in June 2006 as a limited edition of 1936 pieces. Available in a brushed stainless steel case with either black or white dial. An automatic watch with date window, it used either the ETA 2824-2 or the Sellita SW200-1 movement. The watch has lumed leaf hands and Arabic numerals with a triangle index at 12 o'clock. Numbered indices for seconds are on the inner chapter ring.
This is a white version, numbered 1121. It’s a very collectable piece which only comes up rarely - I’ve not seen many of them change hands in recent times. A bit of CW history!
Warranty
It has just been serviced by CW so comes with a CW warranty to March 2026.
Strap
It comes on its original brown leather strap with deployment clasp in wonderful condition- it was used on a different strap so this one whilst being over 15 years old, is lovely.
Condition
It’s coming up for 16 years old and has been worn and enjoyed. Please see photos - most noticeable is a ding around 9/10 o’clock,
It is keeping very good time at +7 or 8 spd on the timegrapher.
Supplied in the original CW inner and outer presentation cases and including the original owner’s handbook with Certificate of Authenticity and the unused polishing cloth.
