Christopher Ward C63 Sealander Lucerne Blue Automatic Limited Edition

Introduction

CW introduced the Sealander range in April 2021 to great acclaim. It was really missing a sports watch, and this fitted the bill perfectly. It was voted Christopher Ward Forum Watch of the Year 2021.

It features a polished lacquer dial – and was initially available in just black or white – and top-brushed, diamond-polished indices filled with Super-LumiNova® Grade X1 BL C1. The hand-set, modelled on those from the C60 Trident Pro 600, is also coated with lume, and the date window is at 6 o'clock.

Later iterations included a 39mm blue version, a hunter green model as well as smaller 36mm versions and colours.

After the success of the Lucerne Blue colour in the 36mm version, CW decided to offer a LE version in the larger size. Released in December 2022, the C63 Sealander Lucerne Blue LE is a 300-piece limited edition 39mm version of CW’s classic sports-explorer timepiece, the C63 Sealander Automatic. It sold out pretty quickly! This is an archive find - sold in January 2025, one of (if not the) last ones made available.

Warranty

This is a January 2025 watch, so the transferable CW movement warranty is valid to January 2030.

Strap options

It comes on an unworn brown vintage oak leather strap.

Other options - exchange for another brand new CW vintage oak leather, or hybrid strap (no cost change).

Head only - discount of £40.

Exchange for a lightly used bracelet (£100), or a new bracelet (£120) (subject to availability)

Condition

Sold as nearly new, but looks brand new and unworn to me. .

On the timegrapher it’s keeping perfect time at 0 seconds per day.

Offered as a full set including box, polishing cloth, warranty booklet and card. No manual as an archive find, but this can be found online.
