SOLD - C5 Malvern Mk2 Quartz (2012)

£0.00

Entry into CW dress watch ownership don’t come much better condition or better value than this. It’s a 39mm C5 Malvern Mk2 with what CW called the Charcoal dial, although I’ve seen others call it metallic brown and starburst brown, which would both be pretty accurate alternatives.

This particular watch was part of a large collection of rarely worn watches owned by an elderly gent who moved into a home. The boxes and papers were unfortunately lost when his family cleared his home, but we know this watch was made between 2012 and 2016, so it’s between six and ten years old.

The downside of highly polished watches like this is that they tend to highlight even the slightest blemish… but on the upside, those blemishes can usually be polished out with a quick rub of Cape Cod.

Condition

On initial inspection you could easily mistake this for a brand new watch. It’s only when you get in very close that you can find tiny signs of it having been worn (either that or they’re signs of it having been stored in a carried bag with 20 other watches!). I’ve not done any polishing, but if you did, it would easily be made spotless.

The 18mm black embossed leather strap on Bader clasp is in like new condition and would probably fetch £75+ on its own if I sold it separately!

As mentioned above, there are no papers, but for a quartz watch that’s already well out of warranty, they’re very much a nice to have than a need to have!

It’s just had a new battery (fitted by me, so it’s not had a pressure test), so should be fine for the next 3-4 years.

Supplied in a CW travel pod, which lets face it, is far more useful than the big boxes we all have filling up our wardrobes!
