Christopher Ward C7 Apex Limited Edition
CW created the C7 Apex in 2018 to celebrate five years since the arrival of their in-house SH21 movement. It was the first CW to feature a semi-skeletonised dial and they went all-out to show off the back of the movement through that huge exhibition case back.
The more time you spend looking at the dial the more amazing details you find. Not only was it the best and most expensive C7 ever created (£3,000), it was one of the best and most expensive CWs ever created!
50 examples were launched for sale in August 2018 and they were all gone by November… or were they?! The watch for sale in this listing actually dates from March 2019 - usually the result of a slow-returned press sample or a former photography model that fell down the back of the CW sofa! Whatever the reason, it’s resulted in this particular piece being probably the last one sold - if you have one sold after 21st March 2019 please let me know!
The transferable CW movement warranty is valid until March 2024
International shipping
As you can see from the destination pricing options, I’m afraid the international price for shipping outside the UK is a lot higher than the UK price because of the insurance cost.
Condition
On the timegrapher it’s keeping perfect time: +/-0 seconds per day.
Supplied with everything it was originally shipped from CW with: case, COSC certificate, polishing cloth and covering letters - one of which explains it’s an archive watch so the only user book available was the online PDF mentioned below.
Comes with two straps: the original leather CW one in almost new condition and a rubber Zulu diver which is also like new.
The watch head itself appears unmarked apart from a tiny dot on the top of the bezel. It’s barely visible under normal light, but under the harsh white LED lighting of my photography cube it looks a lot worse than it actually is.
