Christopher Ward C7 Rosso Corsa COSC Limited Edition

With the exception of a few military specials, the Christopher Ward C7 (and C70) range has always been home to their sport/motorsport inspired watches. The C7 Rapide first arrived in 2008 as a quartz chronograph and that battery chrono theme continued with the launch of the Mk2 in 2012, which was essentially a Mk1 case with some new face designs.

It wasn’t until 2017, when the C7 Rapide range got a complete overhaul, that an automatic movement became available in a C7 for the first time. The standout feature of the automatic watch has to be the multi-part case construction with its contrasting case/ring colours and its hollowed out lugs. Both those made it a pretty expensive watch to manufacture and pretty unique to look at.

The COSC-certified C7 Rosso Corsa with day/date complication for sale here was introduced in mid 2018 as a limited run of 200 pieces. This particular piece (number 100 of 200 made) was sold in November 2018, so the transferablemovement warranty is valid until November 2023.

When it was available from CW it cost £1,000.

Condition

This is a used watch which is in great condition. The only mark worth pointing out is a small scratch on case back. Being a used watch there are some unavoidable creases on the original CW leather strap.

Supplied as a full set including polishing cloth, owner’s book with Certificate of Authenticity, COSC certificate and copy of the standard covering letter.

On the timegrapher it’s keeping near perfect time at approx. -1 second per day!
