Christopher Ward C11 Titanium Extreme 1000 Limited Edition Chronometer

The C11 Extreme is the daddy of the C11 range: waterproof to 1000m, 1000 of them made and they were £1,000 when you could buy them!

It was available between 2014 and 2016 and was a great way for CW to say goodbye to the C11 range - going out with a 15mm tall bang! A watch of that height (thanks to its 4mm crystal and thicker case back - required to achieve that 1,000m dept rating) and with lime green markers is never going to be subtle, but thanks to its clean design and the Titanium sheen of the case, it’s still got class.

The three ‘crowns’ are actually a helium escape valve on the left, adjustment of internal rotating bezel on the top right and the watch crown is middle right.

It’s a Limited Edition of 1,000 and they’ve been off sale for over five years now, so most have found their way to collectors - as the years have ticked by, there are less and less appearing for sale.

It’s a June 2016 watch, so is one of the last ones sold.

Condition
It’s a minter! It has been worn, so you might find blemishes under magnified inspection, but I can’t see any defects by eye.

It’s a ‘full set’ including deluxe wooden case, unused polishing cloth, COSC certificate and user book..

These CW rubber straps are prone to splitting around the holes which are used, but there are no signs of that happening to this strap - which is a good thing as they’re no longer available from CW!

As you can see from the timegrapher pic, it’s keeping perfect time.

Final Notes

  • The first nine photographs are library shots, the rest all show the actual watch and package.

  • Having followed CW for many years, I’ve observed a few of instances of crowns being pulled out/off of MSL versions. While I’ve not seen it on a Makaira, it’s still advised to take extra care when pulling the crown out to the time-adjusting position three.
