Christopher Ward C60 Trident Pro 600 Mk2 38mm

With the launch the C60 Mk2 in mid 2015 we saw several firsts. It was the first CW to be made available with a highly scratch-resistant ceramic bezel and was also the first (and still the only) C60 available with a red bezel/white face colour combo. It wasn’t a great seller at the time and red/white was never an option for the Mk3, so what once was considered an ugly duckling (by some buyers at least), is now a very collectable and premium-commanding model.

The watch we have for sale dates from May 2015, so it’s one of the first Mk2 C60s ever sold and features the CHR. WARD logo at 12 o’clock, which is a popular preference for some. The launch cost for this model was £660 (I know that because the original purchase receipt is included!). By the time it was retired in 2019, the cost of the bracelet model had risen to £795 - and the equivalent current model costs £845.

Condition
For a six year old watch it’s in fantastic condition - to an untrained eye it would probably pass as new. I’d say it’s never seen action as a daily because there’s very little evidence of regular wear - just a few light desk-diving marks on the bracelet and the odd tiny mark visible on the case under magnified inspection. There are also tell-tail signs of the case back having been off at some point - I don’t know what the history is there, but I do know that automatic watches are complicated machines, which occasionally require service or repair, so I expect it will have been one of those two.

On the timegrapher it’s keeping time at approx. +6sec per day, so just inside COSC specifications and well within the +/-20sec per day specified by CW for this watch.

Supplied as a full set including original inner and outer boxes, user booked with Certificate of Authenticity, spare bracelet link (all other removable links also present) unused polishing cloth, covering letter and original receipt (with original buyer’s details already removed when I bought it).

In summary, it’s a fantastic condition and pretty rare watch in perfect working order. If it was a minter I’d be asking £700 for it, so you’re getting a tidy discount in lieu of some very minor blemishes.

The first photo is a library shot, the rest all show the actual watch and package.

If you’d prefer a CW leather ore rubber strap instead of the bracelet I can reduce the price by £50.
