Christopher Ward C60 Trident Pro 600 Mk2 38mm

With the launch the C60 Mk2 in mid 2015 we saw several firsts. It was the first CW to be made available with a highly scratch-resistant ceramic bezel and was also the first C60 (along side the quartz version) available with a blue bezel/black face colour combo. It wasn’t a great seller at the time (it was only available between 2015 and early 2017) and blue/black was never an option for the Mk3 (they do offer a black/blue version though!), so what once was considered an ugly duckling (by some buyers at least), is now a very collectable and premium-commanding model.

The watch I have for sale here dates from June 2016 and it features the CHR. WARD logo at 12 o’clock, which is a popular preference for some - in 2017 the “9 o’clock logo” arrived. The launch cost for this model was £600. By the time it was retired a year later it had risen to £640 - the equivalent current model costs £805.

Condition
It’s in nearly new condition, with just two tiny dings to mention: one on the outside of the top left lug and a self-inflicted one on the inside of the top right lug caused by an amateur strap change in a past life. The marks are clearly shown in the relevant photographs - note they’re pretty obvious when the watch is blown up to the size of a wall clock! In its 38mm reality, you have to get in very close to notice them - most people would assume it’s a brand new watch.

The leather strap is also in almost new condition, with just the slightest of indications that it’s been worn.
The optional bracelet is in almost new condition, with just very light signs of use. It’s the earlier type with pop-out diver’s extension and pin-hole micro adjustment (not the later bracelet with ratchet micro adjustment).

Supplied as a full set including inner and outer boxes, user book with Certificate of Authenticity and unused polishing cloth.

On the timegrapher it’s keeping time at approx. +12sec per day, so comfortably inside the +/-20sec per day specified by CW for this watch when it was new.

Supplied as a full set including original inner and outer boxes, user booked with Certificate of Authenticity, spare bracelet link (all other removable links also present) unused polishing cloth, covering letter and original receipt (with original buyer’s details already removed when I bought it).

In summary, without finding a brand new watch (highly unlikely), you’d have to be very lucky to find this watch in better condition. It’s not perfect, but you’ll certainly struggle to find better.

Christopher Ward don’t have the exact correct PDF manual available on the website, but they do have the Mk2.5 version available, which is the same technically, but slightly different cosmetically due to the logo change: https://www.christopherward.com/on/demandware.static/-/Library-Sites-cw-library/default/dwefe50e6f/pdfs/Dive/c60-trident-600-v2.pdf

Final Notes

The first photo is a library shot, the rest all show the actual watch and package.

If you’d prefer a CW stainless bracelet I can switch the strap to a very good condition used one for an extra £100. That option is shown in the final photograph.
