Christopher Ward C11 HRDC Limited Edition Prototype

The C11 HRDC is a 150-piece Limited Edition watch commissioned by the Historic Racing Driver's Club (HRDC) in 2012. This particular watch is the original prototype, featuring serial number 0000 on the rear case. The production watches featured the HRDC logo on the case back instead of the aeroplane from the regular MSL range of C11s like this prototype has.

This watch is an 'archive find', dating from Jan 2018, so being the prototype and a 2018 sale, it's both the oldest and 'youngest' C11 HRDC there is!

Condition
It's been worn (on a different strap), but not very much, so it's in remarkably good condition. The only blemish I can see is a small glossy spot on the right side of the case - presumably the kind of defect you'd get on a prototype. I can't see any other marks, but having been worn, you may find additional signs of use under magnified inspection. It’s fitted with a brand new CW soft touch black leather strap which has never been worn.

The balance of the five year movement warranty is transferable, so it's covered until Jan 2023.

Final Notes

• The first pic is a library photo. The rest show the actual watch and package. Some of my photos make it look like there are marks on the crown and pusher - that's just my poor photography - I’m ordered some light filters! The stripes on the rear case are also my dodgy lighting!
